We teach a functional, modern and hands-on approach to Pilates. Our education is grounded in science and Physical Therapy principles. We aim to challenge and empower our graduates to build knowledge, increase enquiry and create confidence, to be industry leading Pilates instructors.
Clara Gilmour
Clara is the founder of Good Day and has a Bachelor of Health Science, Masters of Physical therapy from Melbourne, Australia. Clara combines her expertise in movement practice and evidence based physical therapy knowledge, to deliver a best practice approach. She specializes in rehabilitation and injury prevention and believes that Pilates is for every body; whether they be an elite athlete, injured, pre-natal or everyday person.
Hannah Wagner
Hannah has her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and is Pilates certified through Balanced Pilates NYC. It is through her dance career that she found a love and value for pilates as a form of strengthening, rehabilitation, and overall well being. She uses her diverse knowledge of movement to focus on enhancing mobility and confidence in client’s day to day lives.
Bailey Edmonds
Bailey is comprehensively trained on all Pilates apparatus as well as TRX, barre and myofascial release. She is passionate about making pilates both approachable and challenging for all levels, and is skilled at creating an inviting community. Her classes are engaging and fun, leaving your core burning both from laughter and a killer workout!

Good Day Academy is inclusive of any body looking to learn Pilates. Whether it be to begin a new career, deepen your personal Pilates practice, further develop your teaching skills. We encourage everyone to participate.
Participants must be over 18 years of age.

We believe it’s beneficial to have at least 3 months Pilates experience. No teaching experience is necessary. If you have no Pilates experience, we encourage you to purchase and complete approx. 20 classes at Good Day prior to the commencement of the course.

You can definitely build a full time career as a Pilates instructor if you wish. We will teach you tips and tricks for longevity in the Pilates and Wellness industry.

No. Many people do Pilates teacher training courses solely to deepen their own practice. Not only will you learn more about your own practice, you will learn about the intricacies of your body and how to notice imbalances in others. It is beneficial for all aspects of life, and any other form of exercise you do.

Good Day Academy is limited to a maximum of 16 in-person participants per intake.

We recommend full attendance at all lectures and workshops. We will be recording lectures, if you miss one or want to review, let us know and we will share the lecture with you. If you wish to have any extra 1:1 tutoring with a teacher, you may do so at a cost of $125 per hour.

Self-practice hours must be logged in your program and can include:
1. Mat Pilates classes in studio or online.
2. Self-practice at home. -
1. Practice teaching requires another person (typically a friend or partner) to be your subject to teach Mat Pilates to.
2. These sessions are typically completed at home.
3. Practice teaching hours must be logged and recorded throughout the course
4. You will also have the opportunity to practice teach on many occasions during the lectures and workshops at Good Day. Note: these are additional and not included in your practice teaching hours.

Once Good Day accepts your application and you confirm, full payment is required within 14 days.

You are able to cancel your course enrollment up to one month before the commencement of Good Day Academy.
In the instance of illness or injury, we will schedule you to attend a future course.

We encourage our graduates to apply to teach at Good Day if they wish. Good Day Academy embodies the culture and principles that we believe create the best Pilates instructors. However, employment is not guaranteed.

The exam will entail a 20 min practical exam as well as a 1 hour written exam.
Exam times will be scheduled at the end of the lectures and workshops.

Extra 1:1 mentoring with any of our mentors is $125 per hour and must be scheduled through the studio by emailing hello@gooddaypilates.com
